As an avid designer, my true passion lies in more than just envisioning beautiful spaces; rather, it extends to experiencing the entire journey from initial design to final completion. There is an incomparable joy when I have the opportunity to witness a project come to life, knowing that I have been an integral part of every step along the way.
The satisfaction I derive from my work stems from the meticulous coordination and execution of every aspect of the project. From the moment the design concept is conceived, I immerse myself in the process, dedicating my energy and expertise to ensure that the project remains true to its original vision. I relish in the challenge of coordinating all elements seamlessly, be it the construction process or positioning the smallest details, such as placement of the last plant.

In October 2021 we had just purchased our dream home at Bawley Point, on the beautiful NSW south coast. The existing garden was mostly lawn and Camelias. Bob and I had a vision of a bush garden, consisting of all Australian native plants, predominantly endemic to the area, that would bring native birds and other animals to enjoy. Emily Barnes made that happen! She came highly recommended to us, and now we are in a position to highly recommend her. Emily made sure she understood the brief well, including aspects of design, timelines and how to work around other building being done on the house. There were modifications to the garden design that we discussed together, and Emily even accommodated a last minute request to add my favourite tree, the Sydney red gum (Angophora), which I had left out! Initially we contracted Emily just to design the garden. But when the time came to landscape and plant, I was going through some health problems, so we asked Emily to extend that to supply the plants and supervise the planting. She did a fantastic job. At every stage of the project, Emily was wonderful to collaborate with. She communicates so well, is professional and a very kind person. I recommend her without hesitation for your garden design.

Emily designed our Garden for us at Mollymook. It was an absolute pleasure working with Emily. Emily not only designed the garden but ordered the plants and supervised the installation. It was a no fuss journey for us which we thoroughly enjoyed.
